I'm no silken tofu expert, but every time I've had it, it creates the creamiest most delightful dishes! I've put it in pasta sauce before to sneak in some protein and add creaminess. And now, I'm using it as a base of this Silken Tofu Green Dip! It's super savory, combining many ingredients found in a vegan caesar salad (capers, nutritional yeast, mustard, lemon, garlic) while having a super fresh (and green!) component from the dill.
This recipe can be whipped up in 5 minutes and takes 30-60 minutes to set, then it's ready to be garnished and served!!
Silken Tofu
The heart of this sauce is silken tofu. It's an ingredient that magically transforms the texture into something luxuriously creamy while packing in a substantial plant-based protein punch. It's like indulging in your favorite creamy dip but without the heaviness of traditional dairy.
Setting Process
The dip is super simple to make, all you need to do is blend all of your ingredients together and then place it in a fridge safe container. The trick for getting the texture to be thicker is allowing the dip to set for 30-60 minutes in the fridge. The longer the better, so feel free to make this a few hours before you plan on serving!
Toppings
This dip comes together with the toppings added! I love adding za'atar, olive oil, and chili oil for an extra kick. Feel free to add some fresh herbs as well to bring them out even more in the dip. I hope you enjoy!
