Do you want to eat cookie dough by the spoonful?? Well you’ve come to the right place! This is a 15 minute fool proof protein vegan edible cookie dough recipe. It sneaks in some plant-based protein, is naturally gluten-free and vegan! Can it get any better?? I don’t think so!
Raw Cookie Dough- Why Is It So Bad For You?
So I used to think that eating raw cookie dough was bad because of the potential Salmonella from the eggs. So I was like, great, I’ll just look for ‘egg free’ cookie dough. Then I did some more research and realized it was also the flour in the dough that isn’t good for you to eat raw because it can contain germs that make you sick.
So What's In This Edible Cookie Dough?
So when making this raw cookie dough I used ground up oats as the flour and add almond milk and almond butter as the liquid instead of an egg. I also added some protein powder to have a snack/dessert that also keeps me full! The sea salt flakes on top are here to add flavor and a contrast to the chocolate chips.
This recipe is super simple and comes together in 10 minutes by just mixing all of the ingredients together. Now, since this doesn't have any baking soda/powder, I would not recommend making cookies out of this. This dough is made strictly for eating (wow, what a relief, that's what I do anyway)!
Get your spoon ready!! I hope you enjoy!
