Discover the ultimate joy of baking with my quick, easy, and oh-so-delicious homemade everything bagel recipe. Yes, you read that right – you can now craft those beloved, iconic bagels right in your own kitchen, and trust me, it's simpler than you think! They only require 4 ingredients!!! These bagels are perfectly golden and generously coated with a symphony of savory 'everything' toppings. They will have you savoring each bite with pure delight. And the best part? This recipe is not just a treat for your taste buds but also a triumph for your well-being, as it's completely vegan and wonderfully healthy.
4-Ingredient Bagels
These bagels only require 4 simple ingredients. Flour, salt, baking powder, and non-dairy yogurt. If you're not vegan, feel free to use dairy yogurt. I like a good non-dairy greek yogurt to add more protein into my breakfast. I've also tried this recipe with coconut yogurt and it is equally delicious.
All you need to do is combine all 4 ingredients, knead, then shape into a circle. Then stick them in the oven at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
Toppings
After they're finished, you get to think about the toppings (my favorite part)! Some days, I like having a simple cream cheese or tofu cream cheese on top. Other days, I'll really dress these bagels up with cucumbers, fresh dill, capers, and red onions. The greatest part is the bagel is just the vehicle for the toppings and it's so versatile!
So, if you're ready to embark on a journey to bagel perfection, let's dive into my easy everything bagel recipe that promises to satisfy your cravings and elevate your vegan and healthy culinary game.
4 Ingredient, Delicious Everything Bagels
Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups Flour Can substitute gluten-free flour if needed
- 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 cup Non-Dairy Yogurt I used HarmlessHarvest
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 2 - 3 tablespoon Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Combine your flour, yogurt, and baking powder in a bowl then mix until fully combined and a ball remains.
- Lightly grease a cutting board with extra flour and cut the dough into 4 pieces.
- Put a little bit of oil on your hands to ensure they don’t get too sticky and roll each piece of dough into a thinner bagel shape (no hole yet).
- Put your seasoning on a plate and coat both sides of your dough with the seasoning.
- Place your seasoned bagels onto the parchment paper and using your hands create a hole in the middle, ensuring it’s a decent size and that there are no parts of the dough that are overly large (this will lead to an uneven bake).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes then enjoy with whatever toppings you like!
